It has a flight school where you learn the basics of flight if that is what you are wondering. You will need at least a joystick, but many people buy a yoke, throttle quadrant and rudder pedals at least. If you are looking for a game that can be repeatedly played, then get it. FSX (get the deluxe version as it included Acceleration) even has missions that can be played. Once you get the feel for flying, there are a great many freeware and payware aircraft to fly with the payware planes having systems modeled which adds even more depth to the game. WhiteKnight77 In that flight school, does it teach you while you are flying? And does the demo have that flight school? You can try the demo but flying is pointless with the keyboard and will just frustrate you. Get a nice joystick in your price range, I suggest the Saitek X52 to start and get the Deluxe copy from Amazon (hard to find in stores these days) and start flying the tutorials and missions.
Once you become familiar with flying different aircraft you might want to join Vatsim. Vatsim is an online flying community that is starting a pilot rating program, a real person will teach you how to fly different planes and speak to real air traffic controllers while you fly with other people. FSX can be a beast though, defrag your system after installation for the best performance.

I would buy computer accessories for flight simulators if i'm a a super big hardcore addicted fan. Also they r pretty expensive aren't they just for a certain type of games which i barely play. You can try flying in the demo with the keyboard but you probably won't make the landing. The keyboard controls do not respond well and you'll find yourself overturning and overcorrecting in flight. One of the missions in the demo is a visual approach from the intermediate category.
You can always try that to get a feel for the game but remember that the difference between keyboard and joystick is night and day. You can get peripherals from all different price ranges, you can get a Logitech 3D Pro for $20 - $30. The full game has 11 tutorials, I think, under Missions. And as others have said, there is the flight school you can do after the tutorials.
